Research support
The University of Illinois College of Law Library provides research support to the program’s faculty and scholars on major research projects including books and articles, and through an embedded librarian program with the seminar in children’s health and violence.
Among the recent projects managed by the library include the creation of back of the book indexes for The Contested Place of Religion in Family Law (Robin Fretwell Wilson, editor; Cambridge University Press, 2018); and Religious Freedom, LGBT Rights, and the Prospects for Common Ground (William N. Eskridge, Jr. & Robin Fretwell Wilson, eds., Cambridge University Press, forthcoming).
In the Children’s Health and Violence seminar, library faculty provide instruction on research methods, meet one on one with students to advise on research strategies and sources, and review drafts of written work. They have prepared a guide to some relevant literature on the topic to assist students in finding and refining topics for an in-depth paper required for the course, more here.
